My work is facilitating personal growth and encouraging people to take greater responsibility for themselves and their lives, using astrological psychology. My hour on the plinth will be a time of inner and outer reflection.
When I get up there at 3 p.m. I'll be spending a period of quiet reflection and will be linked in thought with my family and friends who will be thinking of me at this time. Then they will "join" me on the plinth as I read out their names and their one-word responses to the simple question I've asked them: "What would you like to see more of in the world?" Each word will be written on a card - hopefully big enough to be seen! To date I have 94 words - but there could be more!
Inspired by the response I've had so far, I've created a blog site -
http://in1word.blogspot.com -
inviting people to send in their own word and say why they have chosen this word. This is now active and will remain so as long as there is an interest in it.
I write, teach, counsel, dance, walk my dog and enjoy being in nature. Being alone on the plinth for an hour will no doubt be a challenge - but what an opportunity, too, to be a part of this living art in the environment project!
POST PLINTH MESSAGE
It was a most wonderful experienced to be up on the Plinth for my hour and I enjoyed every single minute I was there.
It turned out to be a very special experience indeed as I became a GRANDMOTHER for the first time during my hour on the Plinth, the news being relayed to me by my husband and family down below who gave a loud cheer when the news came through.
This gives me the most memorable of places to hear this news, and I shall be able to tell my grand daughter that I announced news of her birth whilst standing on the Plinth.
Many thanks to all my supporters who came along to be there and to all my friends who watched me live on line. It was great to have you "up there" with me!
