About me

I am a teacher, wife and mother of 3, although not always in that order.

I decided to apply for an hour on the plinth so that I could have one hour all to myself to read my library book. . . book yet to be decided. . . possibly the David Tennant biography

  • ARRGH!!! Hope the flashing lights didnt give you the screaming abdabs, it would me.

  • well done for wasting your chance to do something memorable ..

  • If I'm laden at all--I'm laden with sadness

That everyone's heart isn't filled with the gladness of love for one another

  • Hi Judith, At least it isn't late for us in New York. Chair and water bottle look familiar. Good thing you are used to ignoring kids with those loud people around you.

  • Extremely boring. Why canĀ“t you do this at home?

Why should anyone want to look at you reading a book?

Think a lot of yourself & ego ?

Sorry, but this is really - nothing.

  • Yes! Reading. Well done ignoring the gang down below.

Might seem odd to some that a person would go to such lengths, just to have a quiet hour alone enjoying a book but given your triple role... makes sense to me.

Thinking about it my question is... who are you outside of the three descriptions you give of yourself? Four, counting reader.

It seems interesting to me that descriptions of self revolve around relationships to others, the students, the husband, the children, the author.

Is that what this piece is about? That our essence is only possible to describe by reference to our connections to others?

Hoping you have a pleasant and restful hour up there!
