About me

I am an actor, poet, writer, film-maker and general creative type. I come from the South East of England and while many of my friends would say I am British-to-the-Bone my blood line is actually a neat blend of German and Greek Cypriot. I have a Masters Degree in English Literature, so I love a good classic. Among other interests I play both rhythm and bass guitar and perform late night fire juggling.

My reasons for choosing to apply for this project are a combination of the excitement over being literally involved in the artwork as well as being interested in seeing how the body works as a piece of art or theatre. What separates this from standard instillation artworks is the piece is forever changing with each new person and I find this very exciting. Plus, I've always wondered what it would be like to be a piece of artwork.

  • Just found you and watched from beginning to end! Classic! Absolutely enjoyable! You are a raw talent and thoroughly entertaining.

  • Well done Karl. You have a very unique style, a mixture of the bard and contemporary.

  • You were wonderful. Loved the poetry!

  • I should have shouted "Regular latte and a croissant please" at 27 minutes, and not "Goodbye Karl"? Thought it was tremendous, love your defence of poetry, great with the crowd, pleasant rapport, so relaxed. I love this project, and am so delighted to know someone who is part of it.
