About me

I am interested in many things (too many??), and like art of different kinds. I've seen quite a lot of Antony Gormley's work; some beautiful and moving pieces, especially the cast of his daughter shown at Tate St Ives some years ago. So the opportunity to be part of a living piece of work was one I could not let pass. I'm looking forward to it.

I have not yet decided what I will do in my hour, bearing in mind it will also be the early hours of the morning! As someone who has been wary/scared of being bored and always takes lots of things to do wherever I go, should I continue and take several carefully chosen things to do, or should I break with my own traditions and take nothing?

I've got some hard thinking to do.

I certainly won't be trying to bake a loaf of bread.

  • Hi Margie,

Well done on your hour - mine went well on Sunday, managed to get done before rain set in. There's some pictures here, taken by a complete stranger!

Have you calmed down from it all yet? I am still really very over-excited.

  • Margie, Congratulations! Was v good. Loved the nod to Gormley with your plasticine figures & the paper planes. Would have liked an actual sandcastle built...but you can't have it all...Food & red wine was a nice touch! Were they postcards at the start u wrote & was that copy of the Psychologist u was reading?! Brilliant! x

  • wow, must of been scary all those drunks!

the paper planes went down well though.

  • Margie, staying up to watch your live plinthery has led to me being knackered now and struggling to stay awake during the test match. It was worth it, however, as this was high order plinthing ( and fairly high up too)R4 owe you a debt of gratitude
