I'm involved in various charitable activities but I will use my 'hour' to promote the Gorilla Organisation - formerly known as the Dian Fossey Memorial Fund - which is holding its 'Great Gorilla Run 2009' on Saturday 26 September 2009 when 700 Gorilla's will be running (or in my case walking!) round the streets of the City of London to raise funds to support the 700 remaining Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda / Uganda.

Update 13 October 2009: Since standing in the Plinth, I have completed my Gorilla Run (7km, dressed in a gorilla suit, in 1 hour and 1 minute!) and raised in excess of £1,000 for the Gorilla Organisation and in excess of £900 for The Prince's Trust and Action for Children.
