I am married to Moyra and last year celebrated 25 years of wedded bliss. We have tow sons, Philip and Mathew, both of whom have just gratuated, and returned home, without jobs, to live off Mum and Dad. We get on very well and they are constantly pulling my leg about my numerous foibles.
I am a Quaker, and regularly attend Bridgend Meeting. Apart from work and family, this is what I am most involved in. Although a relatively small meeting we are a very active group of F/friends, and my time on the plinth may well centre round something Quakerly.
I am a keen follower of sport, especially Rugby an Cricket. I'm a life long Turk - a follower of Llanelli Scarlets. I 'm also a founding member of The Tal Harries Appreciation Society - dedicated to the appreciation of the older and darker arts of rugby, especially in West Wales. We tour Ireland biennially when Ireland play Wales in Dublin.
I have been a member of Samaritans for many years, though I am taking an extended break at present. I hope to return to this when I retire in a year or two.
I'm a music lover, especially jazz of any era. I've even bought an alto sax in recent years and attempted to play a bit of jazz, but t's not for public consumption.
I am also an art lover, and visit galleries when we get a chance. We collected a few paintings by local artists as well.
I try to keep fit at the local gym twice a week.
