I have a connection with Anthony Gormley through my work as an architect, I instigated a sale of one of his figures to a client.
I went to Hornsey College of Art (berfore my architectural training) where I completed several sculptural pieces, my final diploma work being a lifesize figure of St Paul, now installed on a church in Tottenham.
I feel a strong connection to Gormley's figurative work and have been a long time admirer.
I will use my hour on the plinth to promote the Home Farm Trust, an organisation that cares for people with learning difficulties . My youngest sister has Downs Syndrome and is cared for by them in sheltered accomodation in Folkstone.
I intend to drawing a 360 degree sketch of the view from the plinth and auction it on Ebay for the charity.
