On Wednesday 15th July between 1700-1800 I have an hour to do what I want on the Forth Plinth in Trafalgar Square as part of Antony Gormleys ‘One&Other’ project.
This is a prime, peak time, publicly accessible, live Internet streamed event. I can be your puppet, I’m here to do what you want, you can purchase a share in my hour. However I am not allowed to give up my position to anyone else but I can be commanded by you, in anyway you want*, to do what you want*.

During this time there will also be added traffic and interest, as a live showing of La Traviata will be taking place in Trafalgar Square.
The Pitch
I have 60 minutes that I will sell 10 minute shares in. I can do whatever you want; advertise, ridicule, promote, police, politicise I’m here to do your bidding. It’s as simple as that, dress me up, give me a script, allow me to be your spokes-person. Sound attractive? Your imagination is as long as mine is wide. My premium is £2,582 per each ten minutes. This has been worked out against the amount of debt I have owed due to studying, so should all go well, I will not make money as such just balance back to Zero. And you will be the first have purchase in a piece of my Art.
The Why?
Why not? I am an artist, I have a degree and masters in Fine Art, but I don’t work anymore, coming out of education in 2005 I hit a void, creatively and financially. My original idea was to kick start my creative process again by using the Plinth as a site-specific installation within an installation. And, if this gains no interest I will return to that. However I have debt, a study related debt, and I can use this premium to not make money, but, to set me back level again. I can’t pretend that this is not in someway selfish but in the same breath my intention is to highlight a resourcefulness, an ingenuity, a devise to both promote me, to promote you (if you wish) and to punctuate the difficulties that studying a subject such as art can create financially. In some ways its cynical, in others it’s common sense.
In summary
You can buy a time slot of ten minutes, in that period I will be your human soapbox loudspeaker.
What you get: is a ten minute prime opportunity for me to advertise you, commend your work, highlight issues, anything* as long as it falls within being legal and as long as I can take it up there with me, myself. Should you want to purchase more than one slot feel free or all six, fantastic, should any remain unsold then the project may be withdrawn.
What I get: is a new start, to begin from Zero again, to not owe the bank, and to embellish my creativity.
