About me My story

I am a trainer and teacher.

My hobbies include Photoshop and Photography.

Living near Antony Gormley's "Another Place" inspired me to apply for the Plinth.

I may be photographing some of my time on the Plinth and possibly presenting one or two messages. I don't intend to make any speeches.

[Edit} I visited the Plinth recently to establish what the lighting/temperature would be like, while I am up there. Cool and dusky seem to describe it. This will effect my ideas for my hour.

I feel that Gormleys work itself may be an inspration for what I will be doing.

When I have put together what I am doing... I will explain it!

I have decided to use Gormleys work itself for the ispiration for my hour on the plinth.

This idea began with my recent visit to Harrods in London. In the window, there is a suit which has been electroplated. The original suit was by Aquascutum and the concept by Gormley.

My brother has kindly donated an old suit. I have used paint to create the metallic effect... it's cheaper.

In order to keep the Gormley "Iron Man" theme, I picked up a mask and spray painted it to match the suit.

I will not be pretending to be a statue, as I am too much of a fidget. I simply want to present myself (like the Iron Men on Crosby beach) as part of the natural surroundings.
